3.7.2023 – Photos by Imbi Taniel
There’s nothing new to report of the polar bears in the Tallinn Zoo but I have some nice photos of Friida and Raspi for you anyway. As far as I know the bears are kept separately for the time being.
Raspi likes to scrub his head and back against this wood log.
Of course, he took some time for posing for Imbi’s camera, too. 🙂

The sun is nice but now it’s getting too hot ….
… so Raspi wanted to lie down by the ‘sea side’ and feel the nice breeze on his fur. At the same time he can admire himself in the water mirror. 🙂
Friida seems to have smelled something interesting or maybe she saw Imbi …
It’s June but already awfully hot some days. Friida’s fur has an interesting colouring. Maybe the ‘spotted look’ is the latest polar bear fashion? 🙂
What luck we have a big pond – or rather a little lake in our enclosure.

Raspi and Friida both look in excellent shape. I would like to see them playing with stuff like the YWP bears and of course Raspi and Flocke might one day be reunited.

Thank you for the latest pictures of Friida and Raspi! I think both bears are very handsome, but like Ralph, I’m a bit missing toys and activity material for the bears, especially as they both live separately. But at least they have a nice pool and a mulch bed, which is worth a lot.
