Diego is healthy and happy

1.8.2024 – Photos by Pat Waldron

Most of you probably remember Diego but here’s his story in a nut shell: Diego was found as an orphaned cub in the woods near Orsa. He was brought to the Orsa Predator Center and after the park was closed he had to find a new home. Diego was the last brown bear to leave Orsa and he was lucky finding a good home at Jimmy’s Farm.

He was used to big areas in Orsa and that’s what he has in his new home, too!

How wonderful there are even very practical ‘back scratching trees’! 🙂

… and, of course, there’s also a ‘private pool’ for him!

Oh yes, it makes my heart sing to see Diego looking so healthy and happy!

There are many lovely animals in Jimmy’s Farm. Here are some photos of the cute capybara family.

A lovely couple ….

This baby has found a nice bowl that makes a comfortable place to take some rest. 🙂

  1. Thank you very much dear Pat and Mervi.
Best wishes to Diego and the other animals in Jimmy’s Farm.

  3. Dear Pat and dear Mervi!
I am very happy for Diego that he has found a new home on Jimmy’s farm. At times it was even feared that some animals from Orsa for which no new home could be found would have to be euthanised, including Diego. So this great bear can continue to enjoy his life! I sincerely wish him the best!
Thank you for the lovely photos!

    Hugs

  5. It is a great pleasure to know that Diego from Orsa and therefore all the brown bears have found a good home. Unfortunately, we don’t know that about all the animals from Orsa…

Diego is doing great here and it shows!
Maybe he’ll get some company one day, which I wish him.

Thank you Pat and best wishes!

  6. Dear Pat and Mervi
The way in which Jimmy’s Farm and Peak Park have added to the UK’s homes for bears is nothing short of a miracle.
Diego looks to be settling in very well.
