15.2.2024 – Photos by Arkadi Laptenko
There so many lovely photos of the polar bear family in Novosibirsk so here’s another selection of pics for you.
Mama, a new day has began and I’m glad to see the white stuff is still there. I hope we will have many visitors even today!
Morning gymnastics
Mama Gerda decided it was time for a climbing lesson for Belka and Strelka.
Before the climbing session started the twins had a playing session.
The stairs are very slippery with snow and ice.
Oh bear, we really are downstairs!
Shall I give it a try?
Look – I made it so far! OK! I know this is not the stairs ….
Do we have to climb? It’s so fun to just sit on the stairs.
Do you think we can make it to the top?
Here we go up to the top.
A big hug to mama on the way up.
Mama helped her daughter to reach the finishing line. 🙂
Gerda is very satisfied with her small ‘mounteneers’.
An exhausting day made the whole family tired.
Kai was wondering what his family was up to .
This is what I call a handsome polar bear male!
Another photo of the sleeping family is a perfect end to this photo session.
Dear Arkadi, dear Mervi!
Thank you for this nice slippery story with the great photos from Novosibirsk! Polar bears are well equipped to avoid falls on slippery ice surfaces. They have fur between the pads of their paws, which gives them a good grip. I’m convinced that Belka and Strelka will soon be travelling as fast as little chamois on the steps.
I am delighted that the polar bear family in Siberia can enjoy a real winter to the full! They all look great.
The last photo is cute, but makes me totally tired…
Hugs
Anke
