In the Novosibirsk Zoo the polar bear family can enjoy a real Winter for the time being.
Growing bears need lots of rest so mama Gerda wants to make sure her babies Belka and Strelka have nice napping hours. Of course, the twin girls need to eat properly as well.
Sweet Gerda is a perfect mama – and so beautiful, too!
The turbo twins love to play ….
…. but even when playing is fun it can be rather exhausting, too.
Oh, one of them is still awake.
Shhhh, now they’re sleeping.

Thank you for these beautiful pictures of this handsome and relaxed polar bear family! All four look great! Even though the enclosure leaves a lot to be desired, there’s not much the bears miss in winter. They look healthy, lively and content.
Unfortunately, the sight of the tired and resting twin girls and their parents makes me sleepy myself… 😉

What could be nicer – for a polar bear – than taking a power nap or two in the snow.
I really love watching sleeping bears. When a bear like this sleeps, you can really marvel at the grace and grace of these great animals.
