Our Knuti bear was cute all seasons but I think he was especially cute lying or playing in the snow. Luckily he had chances to enjoy the white stuff many times.
MarionK took this photo when Knut experienced snow for the first time.
Knut loved to have dark fur ….
… but after some rolling in the snow he was snow white!
What a happy smile!
A Christmas tree was a popular toy …
… and, of course, even ball games were on the schedule.
Oh bear, it was so wonderful and exciting!
Sometimes Knut just wanted to relax on the white stuff.
Naturally I just had to make some Winter collages.

Dear Mervi,
As I have written elsewhere, snow is a favourite element for all polar bears in zoos and encourages many activities. It was no different with Knut: sliding, rolling around and scrubbing were just a few of them, as thousands of photos have shown.
The “aha-photo” by MarionK is a particularly impressive photo and is like when children see a Christmas tree for the first time – simply marvellous!
Knut discovered the special properties of snow in the way he explored and observed everything new and unknown, with great curiosity and intensity!
Oh yes, I particularly like the snow pictures with him.
