Terve! Hello! It’s your Sisu boy in the Yorkshire Wildlife Park calling again. It’s already October so I’m, of course, eagerly waiting for the Winter.
As you know I’ve spent a lot of time alone and could only see my fellow bears from the distance.
However, things have changed and now I could join Indie, Yuma and Nobby! They really are jolly good fellows.
Don’t I look huge compared to Yuma?
After playing with my friends I want to spend some time on my own.
Can you imagien that the snow in Ranua came to stay! Here Mother Nature has started painting the trees and the bushes with beautiful colours.
This is a photo from the Summer when I loved to admire the flowers together my bird friends.
Hmmm, I think the keepers – or rangers as we call them are preparing a surprise for me.
Yes, there’s definitely something going on ….
I love surprises so I must hurry to see what the surprise is.
Oh bear! Look what they brought to me.
I guess they know I miss the snow and ice so I got this Yeti box that looks like an ice float.
I love it! I love it!

I wish you a short wait for winter. You are already looking forward to winter. I hope for your sake that it will also snow in winter.
In the meantime, I’m sure the Rangers have lots of ideas to make your wait as fun and entertaining as possible.

Your photos show a big and good-natured bear who is very happy about the Rangers’ idea to keep him busy. The canister is white, just in time for winter.
It’s nice that Sisu is no longer alone.

Ja, Sisu ist ein ausgesprochen schöner Eisbär! Es ist toll, dass er sich so gut mit Nobby, Yuma und Tala versteht!! HOFFENTLICH erleben die Eisbären im YWP einen Winter mit ganz viel Schnee!! Danke für die Fotogrüße aus UK!!

I am so happy that Sisu now has company and gets along well with Yuma and Nobby. He looks great too and the wound is definitely getting smaller.
