The koalas have settled down fine in Wilhelma in Stuttgart. It’s understandalbe these adorable ‘teddybears’ are visitors’ darlings now.

Well, I’m cute seen from all angles!
The serval couple Nio and Duma only moved into their new enclosure at Wilhelma in Stuttgart in March this year – and they are already four: the female Duma gave birth to twins after two and a half months of gestation.
The serval babies are, of course, cuter than cute!
The quokkas (Setonix brachyurus) are small macropods about the size of a domestic cat. They are the only members of the genus Setonix. Like other marsupials in the macropod family (such as kangaroos and wallabies), the quokka is herbivorous and mainly nocturnal.

Dear Petra,
I’m not at all surprised that the new koalas are now everybodys darling, they are simply too similar to the teddy bears.
The two servals are just as pretty as the young Cheetas and also somewhat similar. I guess we won’t have to wait much longer for the donkey’s offspring.
I didn’t know the Quokkas before, so this is a first for me.

Danke für diese Süßigkeiten aus Stuttgart!
Koalas sind für mich immer eine Mogelpackung: sie sehen so niedlich aus, sind kuschlig weich und lösen bei vielen Menschen Entzücken und Beschützerinstinkte aus, aber sie sind nicht ganz so nett, wie sie aussehen, speziell ihr Paarungsverhalten ist alles andere als “Blümchensex”… Dennoch sind sie ohne Frage bezaubernd!
Die süßen Mini-Servale sind den Koalas in Puncto Niedlichkeit ebenbürtig.
Quokkas kannte ich bisher auch noch nicht, sie sehen jedenfalls sehr putzig aus. Da sie zur Familie der Kängurus gehören, würde ich sie gerne mal hüpfen sehen…
Den schläfrigen Somali Eseln, Elefanten und dem Tamandua und dem schönen Jaguar gehört meine ganze Sympathie; ich werde gleich wieder müde, wenn ich sie so sehe…

Ich gebe zu, ich bin ein großer Fan der Baumkängurus.
Oder mag ich dann doch die Koalas lieber. Oder sind es Servalbabys. Oder doch der Somalischer Wildesel.
