6.7.2023 – Photos by Jeanette Johnsen
Imaq and Inuk are still living with mama Malik in the Aalborg Zoo. According to the keepers the twin girls will stay as long as Malik feels it’s OK. Female polar bears are usually mature at the age of 5 years so there’s time – if Malik thinks the girls can stay with her.
When Jeanette visited the polar bear trio the girls were active in the water while Malik was napping.
One of the girls had found a ball …. I don’t know if it’s Imaq or Inuk so your guess is as good as mine. 🙂
… but just like human kids the other one wanted, of course, the same ball.
A little argument followed ….
…. and, naturally, the sizes of the mouths had to be measured! 🙂
However, these arguments never last so long.
Soon the girls were friends again.
They posed so nicely showing their beautiful prophiles.
In the Aalborg Zoo the visitors can see the polar bears very close.

Dear readers – especially Mervi – please, don’t try to imitate me! 🙂
After the water games the twins decided to take it easier and visit their napping mama.
Even in her sleep Malik is a tender mama.
What a delight to see Malik’s girls having a ball. I miss that place so much. It is a wonderful little photo visit, so we can all see how the ladies there are doing.
Thanks so much Jeanette.
Molly
Thank you very much dear Jeanette and Mervi.

Dear Jeanette and Mervi!

Dear Jeanette and dear Mervi!
What beautiful and refreshing pictures! The two young bears are enjoying life and the water they are having fun in looks wonderfully inviting in these temperatures.
Thank you for showing them!

Dear Jeanette and Mervi
I would love to have met Imaq and Inuk in Spring 2020 and followed their progress as I did with Nuka and Qillak.
Fortunately you have kept us informed through these years. I still hope to get to Aalborg again.
Dear Mervi,
Dear Janette,
It’s great to see the polar bears in Aarlborg once again, who are “pudelwohl” in the water and look very good.
Again, I’m glad, and you even more so, dear Ralph, that the twins are allowed to stay with their mother as long as they get along.
Best wishes and many thanks!
Britta-Gudrun
Dear Janette
I am very happy about this refreshing report from Aarlborg.
I pass the water ballet. The girls are just too good for me.
Thank you for the wonderful pictures and the corresponding information and comments.
Hugs
Anita
Dear Mervi, a big thank you also goes to you!!
