The temperatures in Novosibirsk are quite low during the nights but the days are getting warmer and warmer.
In the upstairs the snow have almost melted away but downstairs there are shady spots with snow that makes the Winter a little longer for the polar bears.
Come on, kids – let’s go downstairs and enjoy the snow now that we still can do that!
The snow isn’t so white anymore but this is how it looks before melting away.
However, it’s possible to make snow balls!
Gerda has digged a cave that is still there.
How cute – snow on the little licorice nose!
Hide-and-seek is the favourite game for the twins.
Is it my turn to hide?
You always find me – I must get smarter!
Mama, can you find me?
Of course, Gerda pretended she couldn’t see where her baby was. That’s what a wise mother does! 🙂
Gerda can be a playful mama, too and she’s an expert in hiding. Hmm, maybe the big boomsie will reveal her hiding place …. 🙂

Oh bear, I forgot to hide my big boomsie! Well, I must make it easier for my darlings. 🙂
Papa Kai enjoys the dancing snow flakes. He knows that soon the snowy season is over and he must wait several months until the white stuff will fall again.
As usual many tender moments between the mother and her cubbies are needed during the day.
Even the turbo kids get tired and must take a break every now and then.

Luckily for the polar bears the
winter in Siberia is long & cold.
So the time till new snow will
arrive isn´t sooo long… 😉

These are beautiful and funny pictures of Gerda and her little ones. Great that they still had enough snow to dig caves for themselves! The subtitles were, as so often, the cherry on the cake…. I’ve often thought that little polar bears in their mother’s care have the best time of their lives.

It’s just nice to imagine with these pictures how the ice-bear hiding game works. Exactly the same, as with the human-children. And mom is playing along. Exactly the way a human-mama would.
