4.4.2025 – Photos by Jens
On the 21st of March Jens went back to Karlsruhe to check that baby Mika is doing well. There were long queu already when I arrived.
This is new – please, follow me!
And here he is – the super star of the Karlsruhe Zoo!
Mika was happily playing with his toys.
Both the mama and the son are doing fine.
Mika is already ‘making friends’ with solid food.
There’s always something new to discover.
What are these black things? They have feathers instead of fur …
Mika was playing hide-and-seek with the visitors.

Mama’s back makes a nice ‘wall’. 🙂
Come on mama! Don’t tell me you’re tired!
Papa Kap keeps himself busy by relaxing! 🙂
My travelling companion Flocke tried to hide …. Can you find her?
Of course, Nuka and Mika spent lot of time in the water, too. More of their swimming activities in the next article coming soon!

Das sind wieder sehr süße Bilder von Mika, der eine Menge zu entdecken hat und an allem interessiert ist! Seine Eltern wirken ziemlich entspannt: Nuka eher müde und Kap “voll gechillt”. Besonders gut gefallen mir die Fotos, auf denen Mika mit der Kugelkette spielt und das Bild, auf dem er die Krähen beobachtet.
