Nuka and Kap in the Karlsruhe Zoo are enjoying the warm Summer days with different kinds of activities.
Just lying on the green grass is so relaxing.
Kap
Isn’t it incredible – we have a new ‘floor’ in our enclosure!
Nuka found the grass very nice but not so tasty …. 🙂
However, the grass smells so good!
There are, of course, toys for the bears so they can be more active if they feel like it.
Kap played with his ball for a while ….
…. but decided to bring his toy to the land.

Look, I found the sun in my pool!
Nuka was swimming back stroke with the sun – hmm, I mean the ball. 🙂
Even some juggling was on the schedule. 🙂
The keepers had brought some green stuff for the Nuka and Kap and it was obviously a very welcome contribution to their daily activities.
Kap was surprised but delighted seeing the ‘odd toy’.
There are so many smells in the Summer time …
Nuka examined the green thingie very thoroughly.
She posed so nicely for Rebecca and her camera.
What a great swimming partner the green branch is!

You have made my day. Nuka is a wonderful Polar Bear who I got to know well as a cub in Denmark. Kap I met during his stay in Hamburg. I am delighted to see them together.

sie spielen schön. Wenn ich auch
dem Weggang von Charlotte immer
noch etwas nachtrauere…
Am Montag habe ich Nuka und Kap im Karlsruher Zoo besucht. Nuka hat ausgiebig im Wasser gespielt, auch mit dem Ast gespielt. Kap hat sich nur kurz auf der Anlage gezeigt, die am Nachmittag gereinigt wurde.
Nuka ist wirklich eine Hübsche !!!🐻❄️
Schade, dass wir von Charlotte gar nichts mehr “hören” und ich frage mich auch, wie es Lloyd geht, der nun auch in Sóstó alleine auf der Anlage ist…🐻❄️🐻❄️🤔

Danke für Dein Update aus Karlsruhe! Ich freue mich für Kap, dass er sich in Karlsruhe wohl fühlt und hoffe, dass er sein “Forever Home” gefunden hat. Ich liebe die Fotos auf denen er mit dem gelben Ball spielt. Nuka ist eine schöne junge Bärin! Beide Bären wirken entspannt und zufrieden.
