Otis is the only polar bear cub born in Europe this season but there are baby bears even in the Yakutsk Zoo “Orto Doydu”.
Kolymana and Lomonossow är parents of cute twins.
I don’t know the gender of the cubs’ but their names are Vilyui and Yana. Vilyui is a boy and Yana is a girl. They were named after two rivers in Yakutia.
In mid April Kolymana thought the time was right to present her cubs to the visitors.
It was still snowing in Yakutsk so the cubbies could experience the snow for the first time.
The tiny fur balls want to stay close to mama.
Mama’s back is a perfect ‘naproom’ 🙂
Adorable photos of these kids. Amazing that they still have so much snow, and probably will for awhile. Perfect for polar bear babies. Mama Kolymana looks like a very soft mattress.

Das ist ja ein bezaubernd schönes Trio , die kleinen Eisbärchen Vilyui und Yana in guter Obhut ihrer Mama Kolymana❣Besonders schön finde ich es, dass sie ihre ersten Erfahrungen in einer beinahe ‘natürlichen’ Umgebung machen können!!👌😊 Alles GUTE für die Eisbärenfamilie und da gehört Eisbär Lomossow natürlich auch dazu!!🐻❄️🐻❄️🐻❄️🐻❄️

Anyone who has the opportunity to see polar bears together with their cubs is delighted to see scenes like that. How nice that they can still play in the snow and ice, but I would be very happy if the winter conditions were limited to their latitudes…
The little ones are as sweet as sugar as all mini polar bears.
