The Spring isn’t such a happy time for the polar bear bachelors. The hormones are playing tricky games with our white giants so they have to be kept separated in order to avoid injuries.
When Pat visited the Yorkshire Wildlife Park she found Luka wandering in the enclosure.
It looked like he was looking for company.
Where are they all?
I think I can smell Hamish …
…. but I can’t see him.
Oh bear, I miss my pals but because I injured my friend Yuma (not seriously) I understand we must keep distance now. I hope you understand I didn’t mean any harm!
Walking by the Lake Polar Bear
Maybe a nice swimming tour will make me feel better.
Oh, Luka – are you napping in the water?
It was a short nap and it was time to shake it off …
… and take a nap on land instead!
Dear Luka! Soon the ‘silly season’ will be over and you can meet your friends again.

I wish Luka all the best and that he
will be united with his friends soon!
Das wünsche ich Luka auch ganz dolle! 👍💓
Dear Pat!
Well, it’s not just the male polar bears who go a bit mad in spring. But this phase will pass, and they’ll be friends again. I’m delighted with Lukas’s progress since Wuppertal: he’s become stronger and more confident – a real character!
Thanks for sharing!
Hugs

I hope Luka will be with his friends soon.
Your pictures are great.

Armer Luka!!
