It’s always heart warming to see how the zoo staff wants to prepare a merry Christmas for their beloved animals.
The zoo is beautifully decorated for the Christmas season.
In the Alaska Zoo many organizations and private persons have donated eatable gifts and toys to the animals and, naturally they were very much appreciated.
Amur tiger Natasha received a big parcel ….
… and there was an ice bomb, too. Oh my, is my mouth big enough?
The snow leopard was curious about the contents in the parcel.
The reindeers were not forgotten either.
This little cutie has now a nice ‘ginger bread house’.
Kova was found as an orphan so her exact date of birth isn’t known. However, the keepers arranged a nice birthday celebration for her.

Knuti’s Magazine wishes Kova, Cranbeary, Natasha and all the animals in the Alaska Zoo a happy Christmas season. Of course, the same wishes are flying to the keepers, vets and all the staff members of the zoo.

What heart-warming pictures from the Alaska Zoo! It’s so great that visitors here are allowed to spoil the animals with treats and that the keepers so lovingly give them special days, not just at Christmas. That must be love!

I really like the way Alaska Zoo surprises its animals with little gifts on special days. It gives them a change and the visitors a treat.
Everyone was happy and satisfied with their presents.
It’s a pity that this lovely activity is rarely seen in German zoos.
