Summer in YWP

21.8.2024 – Photos by Pat Waldron and Sheila & Philip Baker

You have already seen how the polar bears in the Yorkshire Wildlife Park are enjoying the warm Summer days. This time you can meet some other sweeties in this park.

When I see dik diks in the green grass I think of a fairy tale book.

Teddi seems to be watching over mama and making sure nothing and nobody disturbs her nap.

They seem to be totally synchronized when they walk! 🙂

I wonder what made this maned wolf smile like Mona-Lisa.

Queen Tschuna inspecting her queendom. It seems to me she’s quite satisfied with what she sees.

  1. The Yorkshare Wildlife Park is home to many other animals besides the polar bears, which I didn’t realise. I’m sure they also have correspondingly large enclosures due to the size of the park.

The lion family does everything together, only fishing is better done alone, the otter thinks. Such beautiful photos of tigers, dik diks and snuffling hyenas also put a smile on our faces.
Many thanks dear Pat, Sheila and Philip!

  3. Dear Pat, Sheila and Philip!
Thank you for these wonderful pictures of animals having a lovely summer at YWP and obviously doing very well. The Kirk Dik Diks really do look like something out of a storybook and you have captured all the others beautifully too! I loved the fact that everything was so green and there were so many dandelions in bloom. Tschuna certainly looks great in the middle of it all…

    Hugs
    Anke

  4. Dear Pat, Sheila and Philip!
Thank you for the wonderful summer pictures. The spotted hyena is my favorite today. I am glad to see Tschuna too.

  5. Thank you very much dear Pat, Sheila, Philip and Mervi.
Best wishes to all the animals in the Yorkshire Wildlife Park.
