The Valentine’s day is traditionally a day for lovers but I want to make this day a special day for all kinds of love and friendship without borders.
Mother’s love to her children is said to be the greatest love of all. I want to show you some photos of tender moments between a polar bear mama and her cub/s.

The young Bo and the older Berit in the Henry Vilas Zoo were best friends despite the age difference.

Shauna and her twin brother Nordi in Novosibirsk loved to stay close to each other. Unfortunately they are separated now that Shauna has moved to Udmurtia.

Hamish and Luka are jolly good fellows and even best friends.

Flocke and Tala are still getting along very well. Hopefully they can stay together as long as possible.
Nobby and Sisu dancing. They are good friends although it seems to me they can’t agree who will lead … 🙂
Sometimes a visitor and a polar bear develope a special bond. Here Inuk in Aalborg is flirting with Ralph.
When we talk of special kind of love we never forget Knut and Thomas Dörflein.
The keeper and his hand raised polar bear cub charmed the whole world. That relationship was so special that it will never be forgotten!
My idea of a perfect Valentine’s Day 🙂
