Hamish and Luka are the biggest giants in the Yorkshire Wildlife Park and they also seem to be good friends. They love to play together.
One day Hamish heard something that sounded like a loud sigh of Luka.
Luka was very bored – very bored indeed!

I remember well, how cute Hamish was as a cubbie.
And Luka has grown to a real giant. Like we say
it in german: aus Kindern werden Leute… 😉

Thank you for featuring Luka and Hamish. The two biggest Bears in the YWP are very different characters but seem to enjoy the playfighting contests.
Luka is much more restrained than Hamish who is of course much younger.

Thank you so much for the great photos of the two bear wrestlers. It’s just great that Hamish and Luka have become friends and can let out their energy in friendly wrestling matches. Both bears look great and they seem to be in great spirits.
As much as I regret that Wuppertal has given up keeping polar bears, I am relieved that Anori and Luka are now well housed.

I think Wet Wrestling is just COOL!!!
However, it’s not a sport for me. I definitely can’t keep up with it.
But I don’t want to. So I can enjoy this sporty round to the full.
