Belka and Strelka were born on the 16th of December 2022 in Novosibirsk where they’re still live.
Knuti’s Magazine wishes you a very happy birthday, sweet girls!
Gerda’s and Kai’s twin girls live in a separate enclosure in the Novosibirsk Zoo. We were worried when they were separated from their mother quite early but both girls seem to be doing very well in their own enclosure.
The enclosure is now covered with snow which, of course, makes Belka and Strelka very happy!

I wouldn’t mind more of the white stuff!
Our hammock has a soft white matress now. I wonder if I can climb the ‘stairs’ ….
No, I think I’ll stay on the ground this time!

Belka and Strelka are adorable at the age of two and certainly THE centre of attraction at Novosibirsk Zoo. I would like to congratulate these two lovely girls and wish them all the very best for the new year and even more snow this winter!

Dear Mervi,
yes, for the two of them the separation has actually brought considerable advantages in terms of their larger enclosure, and the pain of separation from their mum is easier to bear with two.
The photos are fantastic and show a beautiful pair of siblings in the snow, that’s how it should be.
