The polar bear family in Rostock likes to come close to the visitors. Maybe I’m totally nuts but I believe they know their regular visitors.
Sizzel and Skadi
Although Skadi and Kaja are big girls now Sizzel still thinks they are her babies. Because there are not many ‘vacancies’ in the zoos for the time being she will probably have the twin girls with her for a long time.
This is Skadi …
… and this is Kaja.
Mama’s milk bar is on the top of the twins favourite restaurants. đ
Sizzel seems to be a happy bar owner.
This beautiful cat is also living in the Rostock Zoo.

Skadi und Kaja waren schon immer entzĂŒckend.
Und sie sind es noch.
So wie sie eben noch Kinder sind, auch wenn sie schon so groĂ sind.
Mama Sizzel hĂ€lt ihre Milchbar auch weiterhin offen fĂŒr ihre Kids. Gut so.
Wie war das nochmal formuliert, es gibt keine Stellenangebote fĂŒr die MĂ€dels. So werden sind wohl noch lĂ€nger bleiben.
Ich hoffe, dass die 3 auch weiterhin eine schrecklich nette Familie sind!

Danke fĂŒr diese tollen und harmonischen Familienbilder von Sizzel, Skadi und Kaja!
Ich hoffe, dass die drei noch lange zusammen bleiben können, weil gute und angemessene PlĂ€tze fĂŒr junge EisbĂ€ren in Zoos so rar sind.
Ich glaube schon lange, bzw. bin davon ĂŒberzeugt, dass Zootiere – nicht nur BĂ€ren – ihre regelmĂ€Ăigen Besucher wiedererkennen und auf sie reagieren. Wenn sie sie darĂŒber hinaus mit etwas Positivem verbinden – Spielzeug, Leckereien – zeigen sie durchaus so etwas wie freudige Erregung, auch und gerade mimiklose BĂ€ren. đ
