Sisu’s grandious comeback

19.7.2023 by Sisu with a little help from Mervi, Photos by Pat Waldron

Terve! Hello! It’s me – your buddybear Sisu. As you notice I can still speak my native language Finnish but I’m now fluent in English, too – especially the Yorkshire dialect. I’m trying to learn to growl with a scholarly voice so I can have a chat with a gentleman from Oxford when he comes to visit me.

Sometimes I want to hide from the visitors …

sisu2

… but then I saw Pat and, of course, I wanted to show the best of me to her and her camera. Otherwise Mervi would be angry at me. 🙂

sisu3

I’ve been a bit invisible lately because those stupid hormones played games with me. The clever rangers knew what to do ….

sisu15

… and now everything’s back in normal again! I hope I can meet my pal Nobby soon.

sisu14

It’s been some very hot days here in our park but luckily we have our Lake Polar Bear so we can go swimming whenever we want.

sisu10

Can you see that three flies are hitch hiking om my back? 🙂

Sisu……acting as a taxi service for 3 flies

That was refreshing!

sisu12

Maybe you’re wondering why the fur hasn’t grown back on my back after my injury although the wound is now healed.

sisu13

Well, rolling in the grass – or mud! – is just too tempting so it takes a long time for the fur to grow.

I don’t mind because I know I look gorgeous anyway! Besides – the black spot on my back is now a part of my image!!

sisu16

I want to show my bedroom to you but first I want to present a newborn cutie in our park.

Aren’t the sea lion mama and her baby adorable!

A tendr kiss for mum…..with a smile

OK, now I will show you my nice bedroom.

Sisu….it’s time for bed

I don’t need any help making my bed.

sisu4

I always make a thorough control so everything’s spick & span!

sisu5

Done! I’m sure I’m going to have sweet dreams in my comfortable bed!

That’s it this time! I wish you all a pleasant Summer time!

Dear Pat! Thank you so much for these wonderful photos of Sisu and the sea lions!

  1. Dear Mervi,
    dear Pat,

Thank you for the detailed report on SISU, whose unmistakable trademark is now the black spot on his back and does not detract from his beauty.

Sisu, exemplary you keep your pretty bedroom in order, many a human teeny could take an example from it, because teenagers’ rooms are a nightmare of their mothers, did you know that?

Thanks also for the greetings from the little sea lion.
I hope you have company with the other boys again soon.

    Best regards
    Britta-Gudrun

  2. Dear Pat, dear Mervi and dear Sisu

I am glad to read that you are doing well.
Your wound on the back has healed, only the fur still needs some time.
A cool bath in the summer temperatures is always a good idea.
I like your bedroom. You’re really great for keeping your bedroom tidy too.

I wish you and your flatmates and Pat and Mervi a lovely summer.

    Hugs,
    Anita

  3. Dear Pat and Mervi!
Thank you for the pleasant update!
I am glad and relieved that Sisu has reappeared safe and sound! Fortunately, his wound on his back has healed well and the fact that his black skin can be seen there only makes him unmistakable.
I am sorry that Sisu’s hormonal confusion has been particularly severe and I hope that he will soon find his way back to calm waters and be allowed to rejoin his friends.
How nice that this big boy can make his bed on his own…. It looks cosy.
The little sea lion is adorable and the scene with his mother very touching.

    Hugs
    Anke

  5. Terve! Wonderful polar bear boy – ahm – excuse me – ‘wonderful polar bear young man’! . . . You are still the gorgeously great looking being we used to be aware of you in your earlier days (espite of the wound on your back that obvieously doen’t want to heal completely. . . . Most important is that it doesn’t hinder or even still hurt you! . . . Bad that the stupid hormons even bother polar bears. Be asured also among the humans they cause lots of problems . . .

Thank you so much for having told a bit from your new life and from the handsome sea lions. Your auntie Mervi (text)and Pat Waldron (photos) halped you very nicely to present an ‘interesting to read and watch report’.

See you soon again – Hope so!
