I could witness a real ‘Sisu Fest’ during my last 3 visits to the park…..he has certainly made up for my absence since early December and is looking great.
During my first visit Sisu was extremely white. Maybe he wanted to surprise me with his new look. 🙂
Of course, I want to look good when you visit me and the other polars!
He was chilling and just looking gorgeous!
Sisu has decided to be a piano player. While he’s waiting for the delivery of his instrument the air will do as a substitute. 🙂 I wonder what he’s playing ….
Hmm, it seems that he already has a fan club. 🙂

Dear Sisu, you look gorgeus from every angle!
On my last visit I noticed Sisu was limping so I reported it to the head keeper. There seemed to be som irritation with his left paw.
When I returned to the bears 2 hours later, Sisu had exchanged places with Luka and had been moved out of a large enclosure into the small one attached to the house.
Luka also had a sore foot so was being kept separately from the other bears. Hopefully they will both have recovered by my next visit.
After spending time on his own with a sore foot, Luka made straight for the den when he came out of the main housing.
The den was decorated with a little fir tree.
Something green makes the den cosier. I think this is very ‘zen’!
What a nice cushion – I’m sure Luka had some sweet dreams.
Sisu waves you bye bye for this time.
On behalf of the readers of this magazine I wish both bears a speedy recovery from their injuries that hopefully are not serious.

Ein strahlend weißer Sisu, der sich auch gerne mit schlammig braunen Fell zeigt und möglicherweise “Schneeflöckchen,Weißröckchen…” auf seinem imaginären Piano spielt.. Er ist ein prächtiger Eisbär, genau wie Luka!! 👍🐻❄️🐻❄️👌
Vielleicht träumt er beim Duft des Tannenbaums von Anori und der Zeit mit ihr im Wuppertaler Zoo…
Ich hoffe sehr, dass die Probleme der beiden beim Laufen nicht ernsthaft und von Dauer sind !!!🐻❄️🐻❄️🤔✊

Sisu shows everything I like about bears: charm, curiosity, playfulness, a certain courage and all this in the awareness of his own strength. This performance round of his ‘piano playing’ is simply marvellous and I am absolutely one of his fans.
It was a really good idea of the keepers to put the fir tree in Luka’s cave. He tried out various possibilities and found just the perfect use for it.
I join in and hope that Sisu is no longer limping and that Luka’s paw has healed and is no longer causing any problems!

Die beiden sind tolle Kumpels uns Sisu ist ein beeindruckender und sehr großer Bär.
Ihm steht strahlendes weiss genauso gut wie die Tarnfarbe.
