Polar Bear Olympic Winter Games 2026

6.2.2026 by Mervi

The Olympic Winter Games will take Place in Milano/Cortina in Italy in February 6-22, 2026.

The official mascot of Milano Cortina 2026 is a cheerful stoat named Tina. The name is inspire by the host city CorTINA d’Ampezzo.

Little Mika became friends with the sweet mascot.

Tina was born in Italy, among the mountains where lush green summers give way to snowy white winters. She’s is passionate about art and music, and she believes in the power of beauty. Nature is her home, and even though she now lives in the city, she does everything she can to protect it and keep it untouched.

It’s a tradition that our polar bear friends arrange their own Olympic Games. This time they all decided to represent Greenland!

There are many very special sports in these games like diving in a frozen lake. The judges were very thorough while giving their points. I think this one got ten out of ten – at least the tail is very cute! 🙂

Of course, even more traditional sports are on the schedule.

This gracious couple is a delight for our eyes.

Little mishaps can occur.

Hello! This is downhill skiing – not uphill skiing!! Please, turn around and follow me!

There was a magnificent opening ceremony.

In our Polar Bear Olympics everything’s possible so instead of the noisy fireworks they had northern lights!

The fantastic ice bar is a perfect place for after ski!

The two legged creatures win medails – how stupid is that? Who can eat medails? No, in our games everybody wins a nice salmon!

Let the games begin!

  1. Liebe Mervi,
    Britta-Gudrun

    • Dear Mervi
Just made a copy of this wonderful Olympic edition on my phone. You always make such beautiful Polar Bear versions.

  2. Dear Mervi!
I would much rather watch the polar bear Olympics than get tickets for the two-legged Olympic Games… Britta-Gudrun already mentioned it: the Northern Lights are so much cooler than the obligatory fireworks and don’t harm anyone. The graceful ice skating pair deserves just as good marks as the ice divers with their pretty behinds.
Thank you for this funny and imaginative article with equally creative collages!

    Hugs
    Anke

  4. Mervi, how wonderful!!! I love the story and the collages. The tail is cute, but the boomsie is definitely round. And the team representing Greenland will go home with all medals, EUH, I mean, salmons.

  5. Liebe Mervi!

Vielen Dank für deine lustige Geschichte und die zauberhaften Collagen! Ich wollte schon eher kommentieren, bin aber irgendwie nicht reingekommen😒

Ich wünsche euch ein schönes Wochenende!
