Many of our white fluffy friends have already celebrated their birthdays so I send them my belated happy birthday wishes.
I can’t keep count of all birthdays so there’s only a small selection on this page. Most of the cards are old collages but I’ve tried to keep the locations of our fluffy friends up-to-date. Please, let me know if something’s incorrect!

Mika was born 2.11.2024 in the Karlsruhe Zoo where he lives with mama Nuka.
Finja – born 9.11.2019 in Vienna, now living in Nuremberg.
Humphrey was born on the 9th of November 2011 in the Toronto Zoo. Now he lives in the Aquarium du Québec.
Kallu and Kallik were born on the 11th of November 2022 in the Toledo Zoo in Ohio. If my memory serves me right Kallik has moved to the Oregon Zoo.
Juno was born on the 11th of November 2015 in the Toronto Zoo where she still lives.
Kaja and Skadi were born on the 14th of November 2021 in Rostock. Now they live in the Tallinn Zoo together with Imaq and Inuk.
Tonja born 14.11.2009 in Moscow, now living in the Tierpark Berlin
Ranzo was born 18.11.2011 in Ranua, Finland. Now he lives in Vienna.
Rasputin born 19.11.2007 in Moscow, for the time being living the Aalborg Zoo in Denmark.
Gerda was born on the 20th of November 2007 in Moscow, now living in Novosibirsk.
Nana born 20.11.2019 in the Erlebniszoo Hannover, now living in Nuremberg.
Quintana born 21.11.2016 in Munchen, now living in Zoo de la Flèche, France
Vera born 21.11.2002 in Moscow, now living in Hannover and Charlotte born 21.11.2014 in Nürnberg, now living in Fasano in Italy.
Noria was born in Brno on the 21st of November 2015 but since September 2018 she’s living in Rostock.
Kara was born on the 22nd of November 2020 in the Zoo Mulhouse in France. Now she lives in the Ranua Wildlife Park in Finland.
Sisu born 25.11.2016 in Ranua – now living in the Yorkshire Wildlife Park, England.
Aron born 26.11.2016 in Tallinn, now living in the Zoo de la Flèche, France
Ewa born 26.11.2005 in Rhenen (Netherlands), now staying in the Jimmy’s Farm in Wherstead, Ipswich.
Nuka and Quilaq born 26.11.2016 in Aalborg – Nuka lives now in the Karlsruhe Zoo, Quilag is living in Pairi Daiza.
Nivi and Elva were born on the 26th of November 2018 in Dierenrijk Nuenen. Elva now lives in Nuremberg and Nivi has moved to the Diergaarde Blijdorp (Rotterdam).
Wolodja born 27.11.2011 in Moscow – now living in Rotterdam
Kai was born on the 27th of November 2007 in St Petersburg. He now lives in Novosibirsk together with the female Gerda.
Yuka born 27.11.2019 in Ouwehands Zoo where he still lives.
Cora was born on the 27 November 1998 in St Petersburg. Her parents were Uslada and Menschikov. Today Cora lives in the Zoo Brno.
Jorek and Ootek were born on November 27, 2024, as twin polar bear cubs at the Nyíregyházi Állatpark (Sóstó Zoo) in Hungary. They are the sons of Sznezsana and Lloyd.
Giovanna – born in Fasano 28.11.2006, now living in Munchen
Kulu born 28.11.2019 in the Columbus Zoo – now living in the St Paul’s Como Zoo, Minnesota, USA
Otis was born on the 28th of November 2023 in the Eindhoven Zoo where he’s still staying with his mother Frimas.
Nanook and Noori were born on the 29th of November 2021 in Orsa. The twins have moved to the Peak Wildlife Park in England.
Luka was born on the 30th of November 2011 in Rhenen, Netherlands. For the time being he lives in the Yorkshire Wildlife Park in England.

Thank you for these bearish collages with the white furred birthday children in November!
They are beautifully and lovingly designed, already very wintry and partly already refer to the Advent season, which is a bit strange after we still had temperatures around 20°C last week…
They range from very young bears – Finja, almost three years old – to old bears – Antonia, almost 33 years old – and we love them all!

On closer inspection, I realise that only two of the bears we have already met as baby bears have reproduced so far, i.e. become parents themselves.
These are Hope, Flocke’s daughter, and Ranzo, Finja’s father.
The list is indeed remarkable and very well researched.

Dear Mervi Thank you both for the beautifully created collages of each Polar Bear and for telling us where they were born and where they live now as well as their dates.
Antonia is now the oldest Zoo Polar Bear showing that her small size and strong attitude has served her well.
May we and all Polar Bears enjoy our birthdays and live in peace.
