25.10.2022 – Photos by Sheila and Philip Baker
May I introduce myself – I’m Mr Sisu in the Yorkshire Wildlife Park. I’m really happy here because I have a nice enclosure and many good friends.
This is a photo of me with Nobby, Indy and Yuma.
I had some ‘happy hours’ with Madame Flocke’s son Yuma.
He’s a very playful young fellow.
They say October is golden and it must be because the sun made our furs glow like gold! As you can see the wound in my back is looking much better now.
Yuma is a jolly good fellow!
Well, the golden period didn’t last so long …. these shades of colours are more like cream and I don’t know what – maybe cappuccino …. 🙂
Thank you for the boxing session! Or were we dancing? Now I need a break!
Dear Sisu, you’re a perfect sparring and dancing partner …. but are you getting old because you need to rest now?
Old? Moi? No way! I just need some rest every now and then.
No hard feelings, old chap!
The youngsters are very nice but sometimes they can be very annoying!!!
And as you can see I can even look a white polar bear, too. 🙂
Dear Sheila and Philip! Thank you so much for these wonderful photos! I’m so glad my Sisu has so many friends now.

Dear Sheila
dear Philip,
the great photos of the youngsters put you in a good mood and so do your comments, dear Mervi. Either the ravens benefit at the bears or the seagulls, depending on the location of the zoos.
Nobby’s wound is smaller, but still seems to be open, I’m surprised at the long time. Capuccino – bears are wonderful but the ones with the snow white and fluffy fur are even more beautiful.
Thanks for the nice update from Yorkshire!

Dear Sheila, Philip and Mervi
The arrangement with the bears is working well at the moment. Thank you for keeping us up to date. I hope to visit them all some time next month.
Dear Mervi
Sisu has a lot of friends in Yorkshire.
They play very nice. Thanks to Sheila
and Philip for the wonderful photo
delivery – its always a pleasure!
Greetings
Chris
Dear Sheila, Philip and Mervi!
This autumn is certainly to the bears’ liking. They are enjoying the weather, getting on well, playing and romping together and in some of the pictures they look like good pals with their arms around each other’s shoulders.
I too am amazed that Sisu’s wound is still visible. But it has become significantly smaller, which is good.
Thank you for the beautiful pictures!
Hugs
Anke
Dear Sheila and Philip
Sisu is a strong and playful bear. However, Yuma seems to be even more boisterous. But he is also a daring youngster.
The pictures of the sun-colored-bears are lovely!
Thank for your adorable pictures!!
Hugs,
Anita
Thank you very much dear Mervi, Sheila and Philip. Best wishes to Flocke, Tala, Yuma, Indy, Luka, Sisu, Nobby and Hamish.
