11.4.2025 – Source: Skandinavisk Dyrepark
As you know Friida has moved from Tallinn to Skandinavisk Dyrepark in Denmark. It was a long journey but Friida arrived in her new home safe and sound.
The first glimpse of the 22 years old beauty.
First Friida entered the polar bear stables. She was amazingly calm.
Time to meet one of the keepers. Friida was also weighed and the scales showed 214 kilos.
Friida spent the first day and night in the stables but then it was time to enter her enclosure. Later she will live together with the oldest polar bear in the park – Nanok. Now they are neighbours and can see and smell each other through the fence before it’s time to let them meet.
When Friida came out she immediately walked to her ‘pool’ and started swimming.
The males in the neighbouring enclosure showed great interest to the beautiful lady …
… but Friida paid no attention to them. She took a mud bath instead. 🙂
After another swimming tour Friida took another mud bath. 🙂
The enclosure is big enough for nice walkabouts.
We can see that Friida is quite happy in her new home.
