When Jola visited Vienna she found the zoo dressed in most beautiful Autumn colours.
The rhino Jange let the sun rays warm his skin.
This is the two months old Flauschi.
Giant pandas know how to take things easy. YangYang is no exception.
This relaxed pose reminds me of the polar bears’ favourite pose. 🙂
Oh my, what has happened to Millaa Millaa? It looks like she’s hanging there like wet laundry …. 🙂
Not to worry, she’s doing fine!
This is Bunji. No wonder everybody loves koalas!
Finja sadly lost her mother recently but it’s good to see she’s doing fine. Yesterday our ice princess celebrated her 3rd birthday.
Nora left us a lovely heritage and she will live further in her beautiful daughter.
A polar bear fountain
Even papa Ranzo seems to love fountains. 🙂
When I saw this photo it made me feel like I was watching Ranzo through a frozen window. Lovely!

It is great to see Finja playing in the water. It looks like that there was no birthday party for Finja on her birthday.

Thank you for this beautiful autumnal post from Schönbrunn Zoo! The autumn colors suit every zoo and the animals seem to enjoy the last rays of sunshine before winter especially. They all look well and relaxed.
I especially liked the fat fuzzy penguin cub, giant panda Yang Yang and the koala just hanging out and the two polar bears Finja and Ranzo who obviously have great fun making big water fountains.
It’s too sad that beautiful Nora won’t be able to experience this autumn. She will surely be missed a lot.

Dear Jola,
thank you for the beautiful photos from Schönbrunn. Even if they do not console over the sudden death of Nora is to see that the other animals are doing well.
My favorites are the baby penguins and the koalas.

Finja ist wirklich groß geworden und macht
ihrer Mutter alle Ehre – möge ihr ein
längeres Leben beschieden sein. 🙂
Auch die “anderen” Tiere erfreuen das Auge.
Besonders die Koalas sind natürlich immer
ein Hingucker. Aber auch der flauschige
Pinguin ist herrlich. Er muss nur noch
sein richtiges Gefieder bekommen. 🙂
Die Herbstfarben sind dies Jahr besonders
schön, da es so lange mild und warm blieb.
Was wohl die Krähe sucht – im Zoo gibt es
immer Leckereien zu finden… 😉

Ich danke Dir für den herrlichen Rundgang in Schönbrunn. Ich mag den Herbst sehr gerne. Natürlich besonders wenn der Himmel blau ist und die Sonne strahlt. Dann sehen die herbstlichen Farben einfach glänzend aus.
Die Tiere scheinen den Herbst zu mögen.
Es ist nicht mehr so heiß und die Luft ist klarer.
Und Sonnenbaden kann man ´eh besser, wenn die Sonne nicht mehr so viel Kraft hat.
Andere Tiere hat die Herbst-Müdigkeit fest im Griff. Millaa Millaa macht das ganz genau richtig. Übrigens auch die netten Pandas Bären. Nur keinen Stress; egal zu welcher Jahreszeit.
Bei den Eisbären war ja mächtig was los.
Stimmt. In Finja wird Nora weiterleben. Der einzige Trost.
