5.3.2024 Photos by Gudrun (first published 5.4.2018)
We all remember the feedings of Knut very well. He was always eagerly waiting for the catering and we were there to admire him. We wanted to believe he was waving his paws to us but I guess he was rather telling the ‘catering personel’ that he was running out of patience …. 🙂
As usual his patience was rewarded even this special day.
What a big fish it was!
Can one hope for more of the fishy stuff?
OK! I’ll wait until tomorrow ….
After a good meal some rest was needed.
Our little dreamer
Dream on, sweet Knuti! You will always be in our hearts!
Dumba’s tribute to our sweet dreamer:
Thank you very much dear Mervi, Gudrun and Dumba.
Dear Knuti, we will always love you. We miss you.
Dear Mervi!
Thank you for your touching Report of Knuts feeding.
Liebe Gudrun, danke für deine Fotos!
I wish you all a pleasant Tuesday!

I
Dear Mervi and Dumba,
these are photos of Knut as we knew and loved him:
waiting expectantly for his food,
always eating his fish in a very mannerly and enjoyable way
and resting or sleeping as a sweet little dreamer – that’s how he will always remain in our hearts!
Thank you and best wishes to you two
Britta-Gudrun
Hugs
Ludmila
Dear Mervi!
Thank you for the memories of this exceptional bear!
It still hurts to think of Knut’s last year, which tragically did not have a happy ending.
But we will always remember the many wonderful moments too we had with him and through him.
This beloved bear and his story will remain unforgettable!
Hugs
Anke
Dear Mervi
Thank you for keeping the Knut story alive in photos each month.
2010 was a year when I spent a lot of time at that enclosure
I found your story very entertaining and it made me laugh, remembering exactly those scenes.
Just the last touching photo of ‘sleeping/perhaps dreaming KNUT’ stabbed through the heart, while realizing that we will never have him back, this special most lovable and dearly-loved polar bear.

Good to see the name ‘GG’ (Gudrun Gräber) and some of her photos here again. . . Does somebody know how she and her dear daughter Frühlingsstern are?

Also good to meet Yeo here again. Hope she is back to an acceptable health condition.

What a pity ‘Monika de Berlin’ didn’t find the kind of ‘Reha’ she hoped for. Thanks, dear Britta-Gudrun, for the information in ‘Die Knuipe’. . . . Best ‘get-well- wishes’ from here to dear Monika!
