Gorgeous guys in Yorkshire

29.9.2022 – Photos by Pat Waldron

The six male polar bears in Yorkshire are doing fine. This time there are no photos of Hamish but he’s OK although this day he decided to be the invisible man.

Nobby very often looks just like the little cubbie I met in Hellabrunn in 2013!

Indy and Yuma have found new friends but they spend a lot of time together, too.

The twin brothers are focused on something else – maybe they’re looking for something to eat?

Hi brother, did you find something?

  1. Dear PAT
    You bring us interesting photos.
So many male polarbears! But its
good 🙂 that they all seem to be
    friendly against their companions.

MERVI – Nobby indeed looks cute !
Flockes kids are cute too, although
they are growing very fast… 😀

    Greetings
    Chris

  2. Dear Pat

You can see it clearly: the boys all look great.

Yes, that’s right. Nobby is the son of his mom Giovanna. She’s a beauty and so he’s just a handsomer polar bear with an adorable face.

Luka also looks adorable as he sleeps!!

Thank you for this adorable threat.

    Hugs,
    Anita

  3. Dear Pat,

it is always a pleasure to see your photos with those of other bear friends in the Yorkshire Park!

Here the youngsters have found a wonderful refuge without ending up directly and so quickly in some ambitious breeding program of a zoo.
In the meantime, thankfully, it has finally been recognized that the many cubs are not at all easy to place and the constant “wandering” of the male polar bears during the mother-child phase of their offspring is also problematic.

Thank you for your great photos and best regards!

  4. Dear Pat, thank you for these photos. All boys are looking great. It seems that Nobby has gained some weight since 2013 (na ja, actually, quite a lot, isn’t it). According to me, Indy is the copy of his father while Yuma is more having the looks of Flocke. And where is the time of baby Sisu?

  5. Dear Pat, dear Mervi!
Wow, what a collection of handsome polar bear men!
They have all evolved from cute and cuddly little bears into sturdy and strong big bears.
I get sleepy too when I see slumbering Luka….
In my opinion, Nobby has inherited much of his father’s gentle charm and good looks.
Indy and Yuma have settled in quickly, for being considered mama’s boys for a long time….
The photos of Sisu are wonderful, you just have to love him.
Thank you for this happy news and great photos!

    Hugs
    Anke

  6. Dear Pat and Mervi!
It is great to see six males in YWP. Nobby is adult now, but he has still a lovely boyish face. I am very glad that Indy and Yuma are doing well with the adult males.
Luka looks very relaxed. I hope the wound of Sisu will be the history very soon.
    Hugs
    Ludmila

  7. Dear All, thank you for your lovely comments. I feel extremely lucky that, within a 30 minute drive of my doorstep, I have 8 amazing polar bears here at the YWP. It is also a pleasure to take photographs which are used so well by Mervi in Knuti’s Magazine for other polar bear lovers!
    Kind Regards
    Pat 🐻‍❄️

  8. Thank you very much dear Mervi and Pat. Best wishes to Flocke, Tala, Yuma, Indy, Nobby, Sisu, Hamish and Luka.
