The International Polar Bear Day on the 27th of February was celebrated in a nice way in Novosibirsk. Already in the morning Belka and Strelka realized there was something special this day.
Do you think our keepers have a surprise for us?
Come on, let’s find out!
Of course, there were great surprises for the girls.
All food was so yammy …
… and there were toys as well!
A great throw!
The ‘oldies’ were treated with good food and toys, too. Gerda can’t decide where to begin … 🙂
The fish is an excellent choice, Gerda.
She enjoyed her surprise cake with a good appetite …
… and after a good meal it was time for some juggling with can.
Kai was gladly surprised finding the ‘laid table’.
Doesn’t he look like a young cub when he’s playing.
Climbing was on the schedule, too. 🙂
With some imagination this can is a fluffy teddybear! 🙂
Gerda thanks the keepers for the great Polar Bear Day!
Dear Arkady and Sergey!
I don’t which other zoo has organised International Polar Bear Day so creatively for its bears and spoiled them so lovingly with treats and toys, but I would wish it on all bears in zoos.
The keepers at the zoo in Novosibirsk really do a great job of keeping their polar bears occupied! Belka and Strelka look great and are playful and fun-loving. That’s how it should be. It’s good to see that in these times…
Thank you for these heart-warming pictures!
Kind regards
Anke
In the first sentence of my comment the word “know” is missing.
It should have been: ” I don´t know, which other zoo has organised International Polar Bear Day so creatively for its bears …”
I am sorry and apologise.
