It’s been a couple of years since I visited the Peak Wildlife Park but on the 10th of March it was time again. It was great to see Nanook and Noori doing so well.
This day the keepers had prepared nice surprises for their twin boys.
A much cleaner Noori and an ‘off white’ Nanook, who is the larger of two bears.
To freshen up your memory: Nanook and Noori were born in the Orsa Predator Park but after the park closed they moved to the Peak Wildlife Park with their mother Hope – a daughter to Flocke and Raspi. She moved later to the Jimmy’s Farm were she unexpectedly died. The twins’ father was Wilbär who moved to the Eindhoven Zoo. Sadly even Wilbär died far too soon.
Noori took a walkabout in the enclosure …
… before going to the cosy bedroom.
Nanook was already napping. You can see him if you look carefully. 🙂
Noori made sure the bed was comfortable ….
… before settling down.
There are, of course, many other lovely animals in this park. Here you can ‘meet’ some of them.
The arctic fox was still wearing the Winter coat but soon the colour of the fur will be darker.
The bush dog always looks very curious and observant.
Maneless zebras having a tender moment.
Bennett’s wallaby family has a cute baby.
I would like to compliment Peak W.P. on their brilliant signage around the park. It is very informative with a touch of humour that both children and adults will like.
Wow! I really feel small! 🙂

Dear Pat!
I’m so glad that Nanook and Noori, Hope and Wilbär’s children, are doing so well, that they have a good relationship, and even sleep together in a den. Yes, their parents live on in them, and thinking about Hope and Wilbär isn’t so sad anymore when you can see for yourself that their kids are doing well.
Thanks for sharing!
Hugs
