What could be better than a nice ice pop on a hot Summer Day? Not much. That’s why the rangers in the Yorkshire Wildlife Park had prepared nice and cool surprises for their beloved polar bears.
Yuma was the first to find a cold treat and Nobby wanted to share it.
However, Yuma had his own ideas of sharing …
… and wanted to keep the ice pop for himself.
Nobby gets his own back on Yuma by not sharing his treat.
Finally the two made up ….
…. and then went to play together in the water.
No hard feelings, old chap!
Even Hamish had found a cold treat.
Hamish thinks the ice pop can be used to cool the outside, too! 🙂
Luka was still looking for something cold to eat …
… and I’m sure even he found a treat although I can’t see it in a photo. 🙂

Dear Pat!
Thanks for the refreshing pictures of the polar bears in the YWP!
I think all the bears look cheerful and chirpy and find it amazing that the squabble over the ice bomb ended relatively quickly and peacefully.
I was irritated that the cold treats were served in plastic containers. The risk of injury seemed quite high to me due to the sharp edges…

Dear Pat!
Thank you for the interesting pictures. The ice pops were very welcome by the bears.
