Am Freitag Nachmittag haben wir den Zoo Hannover besucht. Es war ein warmer Tag. Die meisten Tiere waren draußen. Wir haben, wie immer, mit den Nashörnern angefangen.
On Friday afternoon we visited Hanover Zoo. It was a warm day. Most of the animals were outside. We started, as usual, with the rhinos.
In diesem Jahr hatten die Störche keinen Nachwuchs, vielleicht klappt es im nächsten Jahr.
This year, the storks did not have any offspring, but maybe they will next year.
Die Flusspferde lagen zusammen im Wasser.
The hippos were lying together in the water.
Die Schimpansen sind geschickt im Klettern.
The chimpanzees are skilled at climbing.
Der Silberrücken ist sehr beeindruckend.
The silverback is very impressive.
Bei den Eisbären war Ruhe angesagt.
The polar bears were resting.

Plötzlich ist Vera aufgestanden, sie ist zu Sprinter gegangen, hat ihn geweckt und ging wieder auf ihren Platz in der Sonne.
Suddenly Vera got up, she went to Sprinter, woke him up and went back to her place in the sun.

Bei den Löwen lag der Vater zusammen mit den Kindern. Die Mutter lag oben und hatte alles im Blick.
With the lions, the father lay together with the children. The mother lay on top and had everything in view.
Dear Ludmila,
I like Milana’s position “Do me the troll” the best and the bears seem to prefer their “grubby look” at the moment, although they also take cleansing baths in the pool. Both have fluffy fur and seem to be very well fed.
Storks without offspring are rather rare, but the lion family has three gorgeous children.
Rhino, monkey and co with hippos round off your beautiful walk.

The stork couple seems to be quite happy even though there was no baby birdie this season. The hippos and rhinos are impressive as always.
Vera, Sprinter and Milana are all looking good. Especially Milana is everything a polar bear lady must be – white, fluffy and roundish! 🙂
I always love to see a lion papa with his kids. Of course, mama lion is supervising the family idyll.

Die ganz schön mollige Milana macht den Troll – herrlich! Ihren Speckpölsterchen nach, kann der Winter kommen…
Besonders gut gefällt mir die Löwenfamilie in Eurer gelungenen Fotostrecke, einfach, weil die Jungtiere “voll” hübsch und niedlich sind und der Papa auf sie aufpasst, während sich die Mama eine Auszeit gönnt.
Ein bisschen neidisch bin ich auf die Spitzmaulnashörner, die mir im Berliner Zoo, zusammen mit ihren patenten Pflegern, sehr fehlen.
