My first visit in the Peak Wildlife Park – Part 2

28.8.2023 – Photos by Pat Waldron

Blue seems to be polar bears’ favourite colour. Even Hope, Nanook and Noori love to play with the blue ball and barrel in the water.

The whole family together

One of the cubs seems to be the winner! 🙂

peak51

Oh bear, there’s more blueish ….

peak50

Yeah, we found a blue barrel, too.

A very thorough quality control was needed. This thingie seems to be almost polar bear proof – but only almost, mind you!

peak56

Hope had enough of the water games and decided to stay on the bank watching the girls playing.

peak65

Even Noori stepped out of the water and watched  Nanook playing with the ball.

peak72

Nanook really loves the blue ball

Sometimes she gives the toy a gentle hug …

peak84

Dear ball, you’re my teddybear ….

peak88

…. but even a teddybear needs a bath every now and then. 🙂

peak89

It’s time for you to enter the water!

peak16

Noori is very skilful with her ball – don’t you agree?

peak90

Don’t you worry, my friend – I’m going to get you.

Hope’s twin girls are now almost as big as their mama but they are still very playful cubs. I’m sure Hope will consider them as babies for a long time.

That’s all this time but we’ll be back soon so, please, stay tuned!

  2. Dear Pat!
Thank you very much for the delightful and wonderfully well done pictures of polar bears playing! I especially like the jumping photos of the not-so-little bears. The blue ball looks quite worn and is clearly a favourite toy….
This visit to Hope’s, Noori’s and Nanook’s new home was definitely worthwhile!

    Hugs

  3. Dear Pat

I just think it’s nice that such a beautiful home has been found for this family.
I can clearly see that the three bears feel comfortable there.

I do think that a ball that blue is the best toy ever. Bear can then squeeze it really well and like it.

Thanks for the adorable report with the enchanting family.

  4. Dear Pat,

It’s such a pleasure to watch the three of them play and I’m so glad you’re one of the first to tell us about the bears’ new home in Orsa. Noori’s gender should be known by now. And if he’s not very “precocious”, he’ll be allowed to stay with the ladies for a while longer.

We can only hope and wish that the many other animals from Orsa will also find a good home and that we may hear from them.

    Many kind regards
    Britta-Gudrun
