You may have noticed that the Crystal, Kallik and Kallu have looked a little more brown than usual on their live feed.

They were recently introduced to the behind-the-scenes dig yard, where they can play in the grass and mud.

  3. Dear Mervi
Polar Bear gardening is crucial to their well being so it is great that they can dig and get muddy. Crystal looks proud and happy.

  4. Dear Mervi!
Thank you for another update from Toledo!
We learned years ago that a muddy bear is a happy bear and it’s true here with the minis. As Ralph wrote, it’s great that the cubs have natural soil to dig on!
Crystal is a good mum and the cubs appear lively, curious and fun-loving and are just adorable.
I wish them a beautiful and long life!

    Hugs
    Anke

  5. Dear Mervi, as you will remember from the Knut days: a muddy bear is a happy bear and here we have it in trifold.
