Am Ostersonntag haben wir den Zoo Karlsruhe besucht. Das Wetter war gut. Der Zoo ist sehr schön bepflanzt.
On Easter Sunday we visited Karlsruhe Zoo. The weather was good. The zoo is very beautifully planted.
Zuerst haben wir das Exotenhaus besucht.
First we visited the exotic animal house.
Es leben viele Pfauen im Zoo. Der weißen Pfau ist besonders schön.
There are many peacocks in the zoo. The white peacock is specially beautiful.
Lloyd und Charlotte sind leider nicht zusammen. Als wir ankamen war Lloyd unten im Gehege.
Lloyd and Charlotte are unfortunately not together. When we arrived, Lloyd was in the enclosure downstairs.
Charlotte beschäftigte sich am Pool.
Charlotte kept herself busy at the pool.
Später kommunizierten Lloyd und Charlotte am Wasserüberlauf unter der Glasscheibe.
Later, Lloyd and Charlotte communicated at the water overflow under the glass pane.
Die alte Elefantinen waren draußen. Sie haben eine schöne Anlage.
The old elephant ladies were outside. They have a beautiful facility.
Die Fütterung der Seelöwen war interessant.
The feeding of the sea lions was interesting.
Die Schneeleoparden haben ein neues sehr großes Gehege.
The snow leopards have a new very large enclosure.
Auch die roten Pandas haben sehr gutes Gehege.
The red pandas also have very good enclosures.

Mir gefällt die Verbindung aus Stadtpark und Zoo in Karlsruhe sehr gut.
Schade, dass Lloyd und Charlotte getrennt sind. Beide sehen allerdings gut aus.
Der weißes Pfau ist wunderschön.
Das Fell des Schneeleoparden sieht weich aus. Das würde man gerne mal reinfassen.
Auch positiv bei meinem Besuch vor ein paar Jahren sind mir die Pfleger und ihre Engagement im Gedächtnis geblieben.

Fein, dass ihr den Zoo Karlsruhe besuchen konntet.
Ein sehr gut geführter und schöner Zoo. Dass ihr
in einer der wärmsten Städte Deutschlands wart,
kann man an den Blumenbeeten sehen. Ich denke
in Norddeutschland seid ihr noch nicht so weit.
Charlotte sieht sehr gut aus! Das Eisbärengehege
ist zwar nicht mehr das Neueste, aber sie haben
dort Naturboden, Sand zum buddeln und Spielzeug.
Vitus hat früher immer richtige Höhlen gebaut.
Für Lloyd ist es auch positiv, denn in Bremen
war es doch eher beengt und steinig… 🙂
Der weiße Pfau ist natürlich ein Highlight.
Ich mag Pfaue auch sehr gern. In der Fasane-
rie in Hanau dürfen sie sich frei bewegen
und sitzen manchmal hoch in den Bäumen. 🙂

The Karlsruhe Zoo sure looks beautiful this time of the year with all those lovely flowers and plants.
The exocic animals’ house really looks exotic – just like it’s inhabitants.
The white peacock has all the reason look proud.
It’s a pity Charlotte and Lloyd can’t be together for the time being. However, the main thing is they’re both looking good and healthy! They have found a way to communicate anyway.
I’m very glad about the old elephants’ nice enclosure. They deserve it! – The feeding of the sea lions is always nice to watch.
I love the photo of the snow leopard. He/she looks very happy in the new enclosure. Even the red panda seems to be enjoying being fed in it’s home.

Liebe Ludmila, lieber Uwe!
Der Frühling ist in Karlsruhe wirklich viel weiter als in Berlin, wo es zwar schon einige Frühlingsblüher gibt und das erste Grün an den Bäumen, wir aber von einer solchen Blütenpracht noch weit entfernt sind. Mir fehlen nur ein wenig die Bienen, Hummeln und Schmetterlinge, von denen es doch eigentlich nur so wimmeln müsste.
Aber das war ganz offensichtlich ein schöner und lohnender Zoobesuch in Karlsruhe.
Besonders gut gefallen mir die Bilder der Weißkopfsakis; des weißen Pfaus, die Unterwasserfotos der Seelöwen und der kuschelige, entspannte Schneeleopard.

Dear Ludmila and Uwe, these are truly beautiful pics of Zoo Karlsruhe. I love Spring especially for the flowers and you have captured them very well. Ah well, I think that Lloyd and Charlotte will have double pleasure when they are re-united again. And furthermore, all other animals are looking quite relaxed.
