Rostock is located at the Baltic Sea so the polar bears’ enclosure includes a nautic scene. This day Sizzel, Skadi and Kaja had a speciel dinner by the ‘sea side’.
Dear children, can you smell the same as I smell?
I’m not sure which one of the twins this is but she was first on the smelling target. 🙂
It smells good ….
…. but I’d better do a thorough quality control!
After the food was found fresh and yammy both Skadi and Kaja started eating with good appetite.
Mama Sizzel joined the forces so it became a nice family dinner.
Even a crow had invited himself to the dinner party.
Hello visitors! We’re having a dinner break!
After a good meal it’s time for a dessert and what would be better than mama’s milk?
With well filled bellies the twin girls decided to curl together and have a nice nap.
A little later the whole family was sleeping together. So incredibly sweet!
That’s it for this time but we’ll be back soon!
Dear Gisela and Mervi
A number of Zoos have Mother and Daughter groups now..Sizzel and her girls look to be enjoying a Christmas feast.Merry Christmas.
Vielen Dank liebe Gisela und Mervi.
Best wishes to Sizzel, Skadi and Kaja.
Dear Gisela,
dear Mervi,
well, the smell of such a big portion of meat is of course not to be hidden and all are peacefully sharing it, that’s how it should be!
Of course, Mama’s milk bar is still very popular and after an extensive meal, they should also rest.
Gisela, all these beautiful scenes you have captured wonderfully photographically and for this I say heartfelt thanks with kind regards!

Dear Gisela and dear Mervi!
Thank you for the latest update and the impressive photos of the polar bears in Rostock!
In winter, the large facility is just as beautiful as in summer, but in winter certainly even more beautiful for the bears of the north.
The mother/daughter pictures look very harmonious, they even share the meal without quarreling, and the cuddle photo at the end is really touching.
Hugs
Anke
Liebe Gisela
Hugs,
Anita
