I guess you all know by now that the fantastic Orsa Predator Center is threatened by the Grönklitt’s decision to close it down. However, it’s not too late to change that and there are many people both in Sweden and abroad fighting for the saving of the park.
This park offers all their animals amazingly big areas so they have the best possible environment in captivity!
The animals can’t speak for themselves but in this article I let them say what I think they would like to say.
The wolves’ enclosure is more like a big forest.
There’s enough space for long walkies.
Please, don’t let us down – save our park!
The Tiger Mountain is the home of the Amur tigers.
The big cats need a lot of space and they certainly have it here.
I beg you – please, save our excellent home!
Persian leopard sniffing the snow.
I have a good home here so, please, let me stay here!
It’s not always easy to see the snow leopards but Mimmie was lucky meeting this one having a ‘lunch hour’.
For the time being Ewa and Miki can enjoy each other’s company …
… and games in the snow.
A new version of hide-and-seek? 🙂
We all thought Miki was lucky to spend her childhood in Orsa. It’s heart breaking to think she would have to move from her home.
Look what a big snow ball I made! – I hope that our petitions will be snow balls that will grow into big avalanches!
I’m Ewa and as a mother I can’t help thinking of Hope and her babies. What will happen if they have to move when the twins are still so small? I can’t even bear to think of it ….
Please, help us to save our home!
Please, don’t send me away from my home!
It would be a shame and a big scandal if this wonderful park would close and the animals were sent away to other parks/zoos. What would happen if there are no new homes for them all? The brown bears are hibernating happily unaware of what is going on. I sincerely hope there won’t be any bear cubbies this year!
Our Swedish animal friends have started a Facebook site concerning the closing down of Orsa Predator Center. The group is working hard in order to prevent the closing down the fantastic park. All support is more than welcome! I hope you will visit the site and express your support.
Dear Mimmie! Thank you so much for your permission to use the photos in this magazine!
