8.5.2020 – Photos by Marko Junttila, Ranua Wildlife Park
Terve! Hello! Our zoo is closed until the 1st of June but Marko was allowed to come and take some nice photos of me and my friends. The photos were taken on the 28th of April.
Many parts of Europe have had an almost snowless Winter but in northern Finland we’ve had more snow than ever! It has started to melt away but there’s still plenty of white stuff on the ground. And the weather gurus have predicted there’s more snow coming!
As you can see my ice breaking activities have been very succesful. Now I can swim in ‘the water on the rocks’! 🙂 This is so COOL!
The sun is already warming my nose very nicely. Have you ever tried sun bathing in the icy water? I can assure you it’s really wonderful and refreshing!
The big ball is quite a challenge even for me ….
Oh bear, it looks like it’s stuck in the ice.
Who needs horse power when there’s enough polar bear power?
Luckily this green ball is more co-operative ….
This ‘olive’ is a good friend of mine.
I’ll enjoy my ‘water on the rocks’ as long as it’s possible.
On the 1st of June my zoo will be open again. You’re all very, very welcome to meet us ‘live’!
