The polar bear family in Novosibirsk has a most welcome visitor – Jack Frost who came with lots of snow and an extremely cold weather. Well, that’s exactly the kind of gifts our white giant friends love!
Mama, where’s Uncle Jack hiding? We never see him!
Dear child, I really don’t know where our guest is but let’s keep our eyes open – maybe we’ll see him soon.
Gerda always looks like the Snowy Queen.
Papa Kai has no worries but enjoys the Winter.
How wonderful to feel the snow under my paws again!
Shauna has inherited her mother’s good looks.

Feel free to admire my beautiful paws!
Soon I’m as big as my papa! For the time being I’m a gorgeous – and very modest! – young polar bear boy.
Shauna loves the snow and spends a lot of time just lying on the nice ‘matress’.
It was so nice of Uncle Jack to come with our kind of weather.
The snow flakes on my fur make me look soooo cute!
Thank you for watching! We’ll be back soon with more snow! 🙂
For those who don’t know who Jack Frost is: He’ a personfification of frost, ice, snow and freezing cold. He is a variant of Old Man Winter who is held responsible for frosty weather, nipping the fingers and toes in such weather, coloring the foliage in autumn, and leaving fern-like patterns on cold windows in winter. In Scandinavia he’s called Kung Bore(alis).
