Aalborg: Malik didn’t want to wait!

The Aalborg Zoo had planned a first outing for Malik and her twins next week but Malik had other plans! On the 4th of March she was banging the door to her den with such energy that the keepers decided to let her and the cubbies out sooner than planned. This polar bear lady certainly has a mind of her own – and she never hesitates to show it! 🙂
Of course, mama Malik came out first to make sure it was safe for her babies.
Polar bears can even ‘taste smells’ and it looks like this tiny rascal has already learnt the trick! 🙂
The big new world is exciting but also a little frightening ….
…. so it’s best to stay close to mama.
It’s amazing how the gigantic mama polar bear never steps on the tiny babies but knows exactly where to ‘land’ her big paws!
Do I see double? 🙂
The big rocks are still too high to climb but the twins were checking them very thoroughly.
One day we will master this mountain – that’s for sure!!
Speedy Gonzales 🙂 Although the cubs are very small and sometimes their legs are not so steady they can keep a turbo speed!
Malik could have a very short moment for herself ….
…. but she won’t be having many peaceful moments raising two kids. Of course, the twins wanted to do some wrestling, too. However, Malik is an experienced ‘referee’ …. 🙂
What sweeties they are!
On behalf of the readers of Knuti’s Weekly I wish Malik and her babies all the best!
