The Summer is the highlight of the year for all gardeners. Even the keepers of the polar bears in the Novosibirsk Zoo thought some green stuff would be nice for their white fluffy friends.
Mama, what shall we do today? Any ideas?
What luck we have our little snow heap – it will keep us cool so we can use our brains and think ….
Suddenly the cool family discovered some big tree branches.
Mama, is this our lunch? We don’t think it tastes so good …..
No, it’s not our lunch and we’re not supposed to eat it. Well, maybe the green leaves …
Gerda knows that a polar bear should be able to break anything so a branch of a tree shouldn’t be a big deal. 🙂
Yikes and yikes again! The leaves are not good either!
I don’t know if this is Shauna or Nordi but the cubbie is certainly doing a very thorough ‘quality control’. 🙂
Dear kids, wouldn’t it be great if we could plant a tree in our enclosure?! …. but we have no soil! Maybe there’s another solution …. maybe we can plant the tree in the snow we have?
But before we try the snow we can try to plant the tree in the water …..….. or maybe we just use it as a swimming partner? Hey! This is quite fun!
Now it’s show time! Let me teach you how a branch flies! I must get a hold of it between my paws ….
…. and then a powerful throw! See how it flies!
I’m ready for your standing ovation!
