7.5.2019 – Photos by Marko Junttila, Ranua Wildlife Park
Terve! Hello! It’s been quite a while since my previous newsletter but here I am again! I must confess I’ve been a little down after the separation from my mama but now I’m feeling fine! Even mama is enjoying her life as a bachelorette so life is wonderful again!
The sad blues has turned into a merry polar bear polka! 🙂
Next Sunday is the Mother’s Day so I went looking for flowers to my mama. Unfortunately all I found is this twig.
Now I got a fantastic idea! I put a spell on this twig! When I throw it to mama’s enclosure she will know it comes from me. Instead of a twig she will see a beautiful rose! I’m sure of that!!!
Mervi’s note: Dear Sisu, I’m convinced your mama will love your ‘rose’!
The ice in our pools is quite thin now. I love to jump in and break the ice!
The two legged creatures here are envious to people living in the southern parts of Europe because it’s almost Summer in many countries. However, I’m sure my polar bear friends are envious to mama and me because we still have snow and ice!
Look – I have ice under me, over me and on both sides of me! What more could a polar bear boy want? Well, a yammy snack but that’s another story …. 🙂
This photo clearly shows I’m a Finnish polar bear. White and Blue are my favourite colours!
I can’t stay under water for a very long time but I can ‘hide’ for enough long time to make my visitors worried. They’re often terrified wondering if I have vanished under the water. Then I can hear a sigh of relief when I pop up again. It’s very funny …. am I being a naughty boy doing this?
Hello folks! It’s me! Did you know that in Finland there is a really big ice breaker called Sisu? A very suitable name!
I found a big piece of meat. Maybe I’ve hidden it and then forgotten all about it.
Our pool is a perfect fridge & freezer – and I can eat IN it! Isn’t that great!
That was all for now but I hope to be back soon!
Paw waves to you all from your pal Sisu. Maybe I’ll have grass between my claws next time ….
