5.4.2019 – Source: The Novosibirsk Zoo
Yesterday the vets in the Novosibirsk Zoo could establish the gender of Gerda’s cubs and now we know Gerda has a boy and a girl. Gerda has been very protective so it was only yesterday (4th of April) the vets could make a short examination.
The babies protested wildly screaming and trying to escape from the vets and the keepers. Gerda declared with loud growls that she wanted her cubbies back. That’s why the zoo staff had to act very quickly.
Well, now the the zoo knows the gender of the cubs it’s possible to start thinking of nice names for Gerda’s twins.
Mama, we’re back! We didn’t like the examination but we can tell you we are a girl and a boy ….. although, of course, you already knew that!
Dear children, I’m so glad to have you back! I don’t want to be separated from you even for short moments!
Come on, Sis! Let’s start exploring our enclosure again.
This is exciting ….
….. and this wall seems to be very solid because not even our papa has been able to demolish it.
Gerda is so happy to have her babies back. Look at that broad smile on her face.
After an exhausting day the twins are, naturally, tired.
Mama Gerda makes sure nothing and nobody disturbs her kids.
Kai is unaware of what a hard day it’s been for his family. Maybe he can smell the ‘adventure’ anyway ….
