Dear readers! The old year is retiring and the new year is about to begin. The year 2018 gave us many reasons to be both sad and happy – just like every year. I’m not going to make a summary of what has happened because almost everything is well documented in this magazine and many other blogs and forums.
I want to thank all the readers for being a part of our wonderful world of animals. Of course, I want to express my great gratitude to all the reporters that running make this magazine possible! Blogs like Knuti’s Weekly Magazine have a tough time trying to compete with Facebook and Instagram but I’m glad there are still readers who prefer quality to quantity!
Now I let Sisu continue with his last newsletter of the year 2018:
Terve! Hello! In the northern Finland we still have ‘kaamos’ so the days are very short. However, the darkness is not dull. On the contrary – the whiteness of the snow on the ground and on the trees make the darkness look very nice. My favourite time is the ‘blue hour’ in the afternoon – you must admit it’s beautiful!
Time for some action now! I think I see mama carrying something ….
Oh bear, she has a tyre around her neck!
Mama, I’m sure that tyre is meant for me!!
I’m still a little boy so you must keep me happy. As a good mother you surely understand my meaning!
Mama, are you deaf?
Even our keepers are happy in our Winter Wonderland! 🙂
Mama told me that the old year is going away and a new is approaching with giant steps.
I’ll try to track the new year ….
I can’t see any signs of it yet. Why is the new year hiding???
Well, mama said we can’t see the new year but, of course, I’m very curious to know how it will be. OK, maybe it’s better not to know what will happen but I’m very thrilled and curious!
This is my last newsletter of the year 2018 so I wish you all ‘Guten Rutsch’ to the year 2019 as my German friends say!
