Hope has been introduced to Ewa and Wilbär!

On the 2nd of May Hope could meet Ewa and Wilbär ‘nose to nose’ or maybe ‘nose to boomsie’ for the first time. 🙂

First the older bears didn’t even notice Hope because they now had access to both big enclosures and they wanted to explore the area again. This went on quite a while until Wilbär got very interested in the young lady.

Maybe Wilbär was a bit too interested but Hope is a really tough teenager who immediately showed Wilbär that this is not a way to treat a lady. Not on the first date anyway …. Wilbär even needed ‘protection’ from Ewa. 🙂

Ewa and Hope have had small arguments but Wilbär is acting like a referee and tries to calm down the lady bears.

Hope is learning to eat meat as well as fish and maybe Ewa and Wilbär will convince her that meat is good, too. There’s nothing wrong with Hope’s appetite though. When it was feeding time she simply chased away the older bears!

Ewa and Wilbär were a bit ‘upset’ but later in the afternoon they got big portions of meat. While they were having a dinner party Hope was playing with her toys in the pool. Well, the ‘pool’ is rather a lake in Orsa.

Wilbär is still following Ewa a lot but not as much as before now that Hope is present. It even looks like Ewa and Wilbär function better as a ‘team’ with Hope sharing the enclosure with them.

Knuti’s Weekly wishes the bear trio and their keepers a happy Spring time and hopes Ewa, Wilbär and Hope can live together in peace and harmony!
