On a sunny day in July the keepers had arranged a wonderful surprise for Noria and Lili. A fantastic Restaurant Veggie had opened! Doesn’t it look inviting?
Noria has caught sight of the new restaurant ….
… and even Lili has seen something very colourful and interesting.
Noria made a thorough quality control.
She seems to be satisfied with the menu!
Lili is very white. Maybe she took a bath before visiting the restaurant?
Lili looks happy after a yammy meal.
Now she can just rest and enjoy the warm day.
Even Sizzel, Skadi and Kaja have smelled something. Oh bear, the snacks are in the water!
One of the kids after the lunch hour. The belly sure looks well filled.
The ball is a nice toy but I just haven’t got energy to play now. I know it’s wise to take a little nap after a decent meal.
Sizzel and one of the cubs were lying on the sand bed.
Polar bear fans from Brno had brought this toy. These sweeties are so much loved everywhere!
I don’t know if this is Skadi or Kaja – I let you guess ….

… and her daughter is a good student. Hmm, is this a ball throw or a shot put? Whatever, it looks great!

Es ist für mich immer eine große Freude, Neues über die Eisbären in Rostock zu erfahren, Deine liebevollen und farbigen Schilderungen zu lesen und die wunderbaren Fotos zu betrachten. Man sieht deutlich, wo die Bär(ch)en ihre Prioritäten setzen… 😉 Besonders gut haben mir die Fotos des Bärchens mit dem roten Ball, die Ballspiele mit dem blauen und das Sprungfoto zum Schluss gefallen.
Leider hat die Pandemie mich bisher daran gehindert, mir ein eigenes Bild von den Kleinen zu machen; ich schaffe es einfach nicht, eine FFP2 Maske im Zug über mehrere Stunden zu tragen. Mit dem Auto zu fahren, war und ist leider keine Option.
Umso wertvoller und willkommener sind Deine Berichte.
Ich hoffe sehr, dass ich bald mal wieder nach Rostock komme.

Dear Gisela, I must confess that this is the first report of these bears for me. Their enclosure is looking very good. But, in all honesty, I do not think that I would like to go to “Restaurant Veggie”, I want my veggies accompanied by meat.

ich meine zwar, dass ich diesen Bericht schon kommentiert habe, aber sei´s drum.
Eisbären sind in Zoos zum Allesfresser geworden und leben daher recht gesund bei Salat und Gemüse, dennoch lieben sie auch eine deftige Fleischportion.
