The 12th of November was a PURRfect day to visit our friends at the Henry Vilas Zoo (Madison). Oh, those 🐻❄️! Guess who’s in charge! Here’s Berit & Siku….✌️❤️&🐻❄️
Siku followed Berit to the “other side”…previously the grizzly habitat.
You tell him, Berit!
Of course, Siku will follow…..
Hello, Berit….. she’s now on the other side standing by the pool
And of course…..Siku isn’t far behind….😍

Oh…oh…JUMP!! Berit’s coming!!
Berit may be an older 🐻❄️ lady, but she can still move fast! Move it, Siku!

I believe your plan worked, Berit…. she then headed to the other end to relax and soak up some.
Looks like Siku likes to be chased. More Siku to come ….

To me, this almost seems like an old-fashioned photo novel from a youth magazine, where the question is whether they will ‘get together’ or not… And just like back then, I hope that they find each other. It remains exciting. The two of them seem to be enjoying the story.

Ältere Bärendamen klären mit jungen Eisbären erstmal die Rangordnung. Danach haben wir aber auch oft erlebt, dass sie jüngeren Tieren gegenüber auch ganz gerne die Oma sind. Ich denke, Berit und Siku sind auf einem guten Weg dahin zu kommen.
