Terve! Hello! It’s time again for my ‘newsletter’. When Pat visited me in the Yorkshire Wildlife Parkl on the 22nd of April I was enjoying a cool refreshing dip in the water.
I’m trying to keep my fur as white as possible and the water does wonders!
After the refreshing dip, I headed straight for the fence to check out what was happening in the next enclosure.
Hello, birdie! Could you, please, fly and tell my bear collegues that I could do with some company?
I don’t know if he understood what I said. Unfortunately I don’t speak Birdish.
I just heard it’s been snowing in my old home in Finland! My mother Venus must be happy but I guess the visitors don’t share her happiness …. 🙂
I wonder what my fans here would think if it started snowing …. hahahaa …. 🙂
We polar bears are gorgeous animals but in our park there are many other lovely four legged friends, too. May I introduce some of them.
Dikdik is so gracious – don’t you agree?
The maned wolf looks very beautiful in the sunshine.
Rocco is a big boy now but mama Najuma is still bigger.
Darcy’s kids Tafari and Kendi are growing fast …
… but, naturally, they are still mama’s babies.

That’s it, folks! We wish you all a very happy Spring time despite the bad times in our world!
Hello Sisu,
nice to see something from you again and to listen to your stories!
Snow in Finland might be normal at this time of year, but here we would get an icy fright.
Your flatmates are all looking perky and mum Darcy with her big babies is a delight! With the dikdik, the rhinos and the maned wolf you have all found a great home.
See you again soon and take care!

Dear Pat!
Thank you for the wonderful pictures of Sisu. He looks very nice.

Dear Pat!
Thank you for more great pictures of our beautiful ‘Viking’. I hope the hormones will soon allow the male bears to be reunited. My favourite photo is the one where Sisu is standing upright.
The other animals too: the dik dik, the maned wolf, the rhinos and the cheetah family look great and are obviously enjoying spring. Meanwhile, little Rocco has become quite a big Rocco, but he still can’t get close to his mum Najuma.
I wish all two- and four-legged friends a happy first of May!
Hugs
Anke
Dear Pat and Mervi
Thank you for the chance to visit the Yorkshire Wildlife Park.
