Another rainy and stormy day!! Well how unBEARable!! Speaking of 🐻s…let’s check in on them. All are awake and now seen (see Boris pic for additional info on him). Have a beautiful Monday. ✌️❤️&🐻
Grizzly Brian has eyes on the peahen! There were 4 free loaders snacking on his bear chow & all but 1 moved on…..
You better move it….Brian is the smallest, lightest and most likely to run grizzly!

Boris may occasionally be seen. For the 1st time in his 26 years he did not hibernate. He appeared in early January itching and missing fur. He is under close watch and veterinary care. He has 24 hour cameras both behind the scenes and on exhibit. He is eating, was not itching earlier in the week when I saw him and new fur is growing back. He already went in his pool on March 13th , but is often staying behind the scenes.

Thank you for the spring awakening of the big brownies!
The peacock was very lucky he didn’t become breakfast…. Brian and Chinook still look a bit deranged and should perhaps have a shower or a bath first… Unfortunately, they can no longer roll around in the snow.
Boris, who can only be loved, will hopefully make a full recovery with loving care and attention and can enjoy his life for some time to come! I send him all my best wishes!

thanks for the report on the spring awakening of the brown bears.
They all still look a bit sleepy, but good food and some grooming will do them good.
