Alaskan brown bear Boris in the Milwaukee County Zoo got a special treat – salmon! I definitely think Boris approved! 25 years young and looking fabulous! Here’s Boris enjoying his special snackie. ✌️❤️&🐻
Boris picking up his special snackie….Salmon
Showing it to his keepers 😍
Yes….he tossed it in the pool. Fish need to swim!
“I got a special snackie today”
“”Delicious!”
Oh…must include the shake offs….might be the last of 2024!
“Ugh….I must rest my tummy a minute. Now that I’m older…I must slow it down when I chow down.”
Bubble time 🫧
“I ❤️ to blow my nose in the pool and make bubbles!” 🫧
One more time….. 🫧
“I do NOT sound like that!” Darn humans and their awful 🐻 sounds! 🙄
Ahh…..you were searching for the salmon you dropped
Got it!
Looks tasty, Boris
Happy 🐻…..do you think he finished his salmon? 😍
Mervi’s note: Dear Boris! When I publish this article you may already be hibernating. In that case I wish you sweet dreams – but I’m looking forward to meet you again in the Spring.
Dear Michelle!
Thank you for your lively pictures of Boris, who really enjoys a big salmon. Like all bears, he seems to be a real connoisseur.
I like Boris very much and hope that he has had many more big salmon before hibernation, has put on a lot of fat, sleeps well in a warm cave and has sweet dreams before he wakes up again in spring!
Hugs

Hello Michelle,
Boris’ photos are great!
In the wild, the brown bears catch the salmon themselves and it’s always a spectacle to watch them using their skilful catching methods.
I wish Boris a cosy hibernation!
Kind regards
